What

A Hearts and Minds PR campaign to get public support for probably the largest and most ambitious privately funded development in Europe. The project seeks to remove 3 million cubic tons of aggregate from beneath redundant farmland at Hounslow. To convert the void created by extraction to warehousing and the redundant farmland to a publicly accessible park.

Why

There had been huge resistance to the proposed extraction of aggregates by traditional methods. Our role was to sell the concept of an innovative new approach and highlight the benefits to local people to help secure planning permission.

How

We achieved 97.3% support through engagement with local stakeholders. We devised a ‘friendly’ brand/ voice for the consultations starting with a responsive website.

We arranged public consultations and set up meetings with councillors and politicians.

We designed, produced and delivered:
